Please and Thank You

Don't you love it when someone compliments you on your child's good behavior?  Yesterday, Jeremy and Knox walked through the classroom door just as Miles was asking his teacher, "Ms. Russo, please can I have a snack please?"

Yes, our children are so polite that they say please twice.  They also put their hand flat on their chests and move it around clockwise while asking the question, which is the sign for please.  So if my elementary counting skills serve, that really makes it three times, doesn't it?  Wow.  I wonder if my trophy is in the mail for good parenting?

In case you need a visual, here is a picture of the good boys discussing how much they love to be kind and polite to others.  Just take my word for it.

But, back to the classroom.  As Miles was waiting patiently for his teacher's reply, she glanced over at Knox who was now hot on Miles' snack-asking heels, and she said, "Oh, they are just so cute!  How can I say no to that?"  She looked at Jeremy, "Do you ever say no to them?"

Duh.

She went on to tell Jeremy how Miles is always very polite, that he always says please and thank you, yes ma'am, and always uses proper names to address adults (i.e. Ms. So-and-So, Mr. So-and-So).

Success!  Our blood, sweat, and tears are paying off!

Until Jeremy and the golden boys stepped into the hall, where Knox noticed his teacher (Ms. Chang) and shouted, "CHAAAAANG!"

Apparently we have a little more work to do with Knox.  That, or we need to teach him to throw a hand sign and use the word, whadup.

LOL!! so cute! we have the same thing with our girls--landry is the always polite one, korley....could use a little polishing. she also did the same thing to the teacher she had when she was two. her name was mrs. payne and korley just called her "payne". :) (she's wise beyond her years, though, b/c the lady was a pain!!)

haha! i love me some korley stories (brady has told us a few)! lucky for us, jeremy asked Ms. Chang if knox always calls her just "Chang," and she said yes but it didn't bother her. plus, he luuuuvs her so i think that wins him some points :)
