I think it's fitting that in this first month of the new year, Miles has already accomplished something on his New Year's Resolution list - rolling over! And you, the lucky reader, are the first to know about it. Jeremy is playing in a golf scramble this afternoon with his buddies, so it was just me and Petey. He had just finished a long 15 minute spell of playing in his exersaucer, while I was dutifully straightening his dresser. I put him down for tummy time with his car keys, when, ta-dah! He rolled onto his back! He had the biggest grin of accomplishment you've ever seen, although that could have been because I made a HUGE deal of him doing it all by himself. Since our video camera is dead at the moment, and I don't know how to video on our regular camera, I tried to get a still action shot instead as proof. But of course, when I put Miles back on his tummy in hopes of capturing the moment again - well, read the look he gave me for yourself. He was not interested in being exploited. I know, you're crushed.
Here are a few pics of playtime just moments before the great milestone was reached. Like I said, I was cleaning out his dresser, so I had to try a few hats on him to see if they still fit.
The most adorable, snotty-nosed kid in the world.
And last but not least, perhaps our version of Blue Steel...
