I can't believe Miles is already six months old! Wow. Time definitely flies. It's been a trip watching him grow up and learn before our very eyes. He's our little textbook baby - hitting those milestones according to the latest and greatest baby books out there. I know, all you seasoned mothers out there are going to tell me not to put all my stock into what the books say. But hey, as a first time mom it's the only blueprint I have to work with. And so far - textbook. Two little teeth started poking through last week. Literally one day there was nothing, and the next - ta dah! He also started sitting up by himself - well, for about 30 seconds at a time anyway. He's like a game of Jenga. You get him all balanced, sitting up like a big boy, then slowly as you give or take away a toy from his hand he starts to topple. So cute!!
We had a rough couple of weeks last month battling the sicky sickness going around. Miles got RSV which is a respiratory virus that has the potential to be particularly dangerous in young infants. Thankfully, we caught it early and I was able to keep him on lockdown for about 8-9 days. He also had an ear infection along with it, so that wasn't fun either. But today he had his 6 month check up, and he looks A-OK! He weighed in at 17 lbs, and is 27.5 inches.
In other news, Miles has officially outgrown his infant tub and has moved on to the wonderful, sophisticated, inflatable ducky tub!
